This is an gorgeous walnut writing desk that exudes a wonderful 18th-century style character to the home office or living room décor. Circa 1930.
The desk has a rectangular writing top with curved corners, and a wonderful herringbone design.
Displaying a classic warm walnut patination.
The desk front has a large upper central drawer, with three deep lower graduating drawers to either side of the desk, and a hidden drawer beneath the large central drawer. These provide plenty of storage for utensils, documents and books.
The drawer are finished with excellently shaped swan metal drop handles. The desk has a central knee hole for a chair to comfortably sit under. There is a fantastic lower hidden door under the knee hole, with a small lock and key that provides secure storage.
Standing proudly on 6 solid lower freestanding feet, with a raised surrounding boarder.
This is a charming antique styled walnut writing desk is sure to impress in a plethora of rooms in the home.
Overall, this writing desk is in great early 20th-century condition, with minor signs of use and veneer wear to the desk, as to be expected from an item with years of use (see photographs).
There is a small sign of veneer damage to the right side of the chest, and to the lower front foot (see photographs).
