This is a gorgeous 1950's Writing Bureau desk with timeless, handcarved detailing that is sure to impress in a Vintage styled Office or living room setting.
Displaying a wonderfully intricate carved beaded oval design to the drop front, finished with a floral surrounding boarder.
The beautiful Walnut drop front can be opened to expose the quality leather interior writing desk. The desk has two hinged slats that automatically support the desk as it is being opened. The fall front has a key to lock the desk interior for safety.
The interior has 2 small drawers with striking circular designed knobs. There is also 8 pigeon holes, which are useful for storing documents, books, or papers. Underneath there are two large storage areas for books or papers.
The front of the desk has one smaller upper drawer and two wonderfully large spacious graduating drawers. All of them have striking figured metal drop handles that truly highlight the Vintage style. All of the front drawers can be locked, and there are two keys available to lock the drawers.
The bureau is standing proudly on 4 excellently carved feet, with a shell design to finish. The front of the bureau has a raised lower boarder surrounding the bureau.
The drop front and drawers highlight the gorgeous Burr Walnut patination to this Vintage 1950's writing bureau.
Overall, this writing bureau is in excellent condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear as to be expected from an item with year of use (see photographs).
There is signs of obvious wear to the leather desk top.
