This is a beautiful Vintage Writing Bureau desk that would excentuate a period styled living or office home setting. Circa 1930s.
The excellent fall front displays a rich teak patination. The fall front to the Writing Bureau has extendable metal brackets, which pull out the square wooden supports to either sides, holding the fall front open to use the writing desk.The drop front can be opened, exposing the gorgeous leather writing desk.
The interior has 5 pigeon holes with a smaller drawer and a pull out double inkwell, perfect for storing documents, books and writing utensils.
The front of the bureau has a smaller upper drawer, with two larger lower graduating drawers, great for storing linens, clothing or bedding.
The drawers are all finished with mid century styled drop handles.
Standing proudly on 4 solid wonderful cabriole legs, with carved ball and claw feet.
This handsome early 20th-century Writing Bureau add a charming style to the home decor.
Overall this Writing Bureau is in great vintage condition, with general signs of use, scratches and veneer wear to the wood from historical usage (see photographs).There is historical black ink to the writing desk (see photograph)
There is no key present to the desk.
There is a small veneer wood damage to the left side of the drop front (see photograph).There is a historical break to the bureau upper pigeon hole (see photograph).
