This is a gorgeous mid 20th century Writing Bureau Desk would make for a wonderful addition to a vintage living room or office home setting. Circa 1960s.
The front of the bureau displays a wonderful, rich mahogany patination that warms the home interior. The fall front to the bureau can be dropped, and is held open by the two smooth pull out supports which are connected to metal brackets.
The desk interior opens to a green leather writing desk worktop, that is embossed with a beautiful gilt floral design.
The interior has eight smaller pigeon holes, and two side drawers.
The front of the bureau has a small upper drawer with three lower graduating drawers, perfect for storing documents, papers, books, or memorabilia. All of the drawers are finished with figured metal handles and a raised lip surrounding the drawers.
One of the handles is not original (see phorograph).
This writing desk standing proudly on 4 solid figured feet, with a lower boarder to finish.
There is not any key present.
Overall, this Vintage Writing Bureau is in excellent vintage condition, with minor signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from an item with years of age (as photographed). There are minor signs of scratches and wear to the leather top (see photographs).
There is a visual crack to the right side of the bureau, and to the lower left back foot, but this has no structural affect (see photographs).
