This is a stunning Vintage Writing Bureau desk that excudes a period style to the home living or office setting. Circa 1950s.
The fall front displays a rich mahogany patination that can be opened, exposing the desk interior. The fall front to the Writing Bureau has two pull out square wooden supports to either side, holding the fall front open to use the writing desk. (One of the supports can come fully out).
There is not a key present for the desk, but there is a key hole to the drop front.
The interior has 6 pigeon holes with a small interior central drawer, perfect for storing documents or books.
To the front of the desk there is a smaller upper drawer, with two larger lower graduating drawers. The drawers are all finished with matching striking swan drop handles, and a raised boarder to finish.
Standing proudly on 4 wonderful queen anne legs, which are finished on pad shaped feet.
This is a handsome mid century Writing Desk Bureau that would be a statement piece in many vintage homes.
Overall, this Writing Bureau is in great vintage condition, with historical signs of use, wear and scratches as to expected from years of use (see photographs).
There is a historical sign of damage to the upper drawer raised boarder (see photograph).
