To the top of the desk has a gorgeous carved heart design, which highlights the excellent crossbanded inlaid that surrounds the front of the desk.
Featuring a wonderful drop front writing desk that can be locked to the front with the key that is provided. The fall front has two original circular floral metal knob handles.
The front of the writing desk has two lower shelves, useful for storaging to your books.
The desk is ideal for organization as it has a number of pigeon hole compartments to the interior, which you can use to store your writing materials or documents. The interior also has a sweet carved pen and ink holder.
This mid 20th century writing desk is useful for holding writing utensils, documents and other memorabilia, and would be perfectly situated in the lounge, office, hallway or bedroom spaces as a lovely writing desk.
Overall this writing desk is in good condition, with signs of use and wear, as to be expected from years of history (see photographs).
