This is a delightful vintage Pedestal writing desk that adds a sophistication country character to a home office or living room décor. Circa 1930s.
With a large rectangular writing desk that displays a rich Oak patination.
The desk has a single pedestal, which holds a large spacious drawer and a front door with a single shelf to the interior. The drawer is finished with a gorgeous metal domed handle, and a unique screwing locking mechanism to the left side of the desk to lock the drawer. There is a lock to the door with the key present, to keep the interior safely locked.
The desk has a central knee hole for a chair to comfortably sit under.
This desk has a panelled back to enable it to be freestanding.
The desk exterior displays a wonderful panelled design, that surrounds the entire desk, truly enriching the office home decor.
Overall, this writing desk is in great antique condition, with signs of general use and veneer wear to the desk, as to be expected from an item with years of use (see photographs).
