This is a delightful vintage Pedestal writing desk that would add sophistication and character to a mid 20th century home office or living room décor.
With a large rectangular writing desk that displays a rich mahogany patination, with a large rectangular leather gilt inlaid tabletop to finish.
The desk has a large spacious central drawer, with two side drawers and a lower central boarder.
The desk sits on two pedestals drawers.
All of the drawers are finished with raised boarders and gorgeous metal figured drop handles.
To the left pedestal the lower 2 drawers are combined to create a large single drawer (see photograph).
There are historical locks to the upper drawers but there is no key present.
With a central knee hole slot for a chair to comfortably sit under.
Standing proudly on four solid shaped feet.
The desk top comes apart from the lower drawers and can be deconstructed for transportation.
Overall, this writing desk is in great antique condition, with signs of general use, 2 small ring marks and veneer wear to the desk, as to be expected from an item with years of use (see photographs).
