To the back of the chair is a pierced circular backsplat, supported by 4 turned spindles and a charming curved hooped back rail to form the backrest.
Connecting to the back rail is the beautiful carved armrest design, that is supported by two turned front supports.
Leading down to a delightfully carved saddle seat that highlights the Elm wood, that makes a lovely period feature for comfortable seating, or simply for a cushion.
Proudly stood on four outward splayed turned legs, connected by a lower H-frame stretcher, to provide solid structure and support for this wonderful armchair.
