This is a beautiful, large Vintage fruitwood armchair that displays exquisite features that are sure to impress, creating a statement to many rooms in the home.
The large back is constructed with a solid upper frame that encompasses the upholstered padded backrest. The armchair has a gorgeous blue cotton woven patterned upholstered sprung seat and the back rest that are both surrounded by a wonderful cream brocade boarder.
There is a square connector to the lower backrest, for further support.
Leading down the sides of the backrest, are two excellently carved armrests that slope down and are finished with a delicate curve.
This wonderful armchair stands proudly on solid front splayed front legs, and backward splayed back legs, to provide such a solid structure.
This stunning fruitwood Armchair would compliment many vintage living room, dining room or hallway setting, providing such a comfortable seating.
Overall, this high back Armchair is in excellent vintage condition, with slight signs of use and wear as to be expected from an item with years of age (see photographs).
There is a wooden repair to one of the arms, and a filled hole to the other arm (see photographs).
There are historical signs of woodworm to the back rest, left side of the back rest, and to the front left leg, that have been fully treated by the previous owner (see photographs).
