This is a gorgeous Walnut Ladies Dressing Table with many timeless mid 20th century qualities that would enhance a vintage bedroom setting. Circa 1960.
Displaying a wonderful burr walnut patination to the dressing table top.
The dressing table has a rectangular tabletop with a curved front where the user sits. The edge of the tabletop has a carved overhanging lip.
The front of the dressing table has a large central drawer, with four graduating side drawers, perfect for storing document, books and stationary. The drawers are all finished with gorgeous round drop handles.
Under the front of the desk there is a lower figured boarder that is perfect for a seat to fit under.
Elegantly standing on four cabriole legs with carved knee caps, finished on pad shaped feet.
Overall this ladies writing desk is in excellent antique condition, with general signs of use and wear as to be expected (see photographs).
There are signs of veneer wear to the drawers (see photograph).
There are two knotches to the back of the dresser tabletop where historically a mirror would have previously attach to the back of the dresser (see photographs).
