kitThis is a gorgeous pine sideboard that is sure to impress in a Victorian style kitchen or dining room setting. Circa 1890.
The sideboard has a large rectangular tabletop constructed from 5 thick planks.
With a lower raised panel two door cupboard to the centre, with a small brass handle.
The left door has a metal latch to keep it closed, and the right door handle has a turnable metal addition to keep the right door shut.
The centre cupboard is flanked by four deep drawers to either side.
The drawers are all finished with excellent shell shaped antique brass cup handles.
The sideboard is freestanding and sits on the base with a lower boarder surrounding it.
Overall this Victorian sideboard is in great antique condition, with historical signs of general use, veneer wear and markings to the tabletop (see photographs).
The tabletop shows historical signs of nail construction holes to the left and right side (see photograph).
There is a small sign of wood damage to the right side of the tabletop where a notch of wood is missing (see photograph).
The tabletop has historical needle points to the lower right corner that spells out 'BL HI ME' (see photograph).
There are minor historical signs of woodworm to the lower left and right base boarder, but these have been fully treated by the previous owner (see photographs).
The lower front right base boarder shows signs of historical wear (see photograph).
