This antique Victorian nursing chair has fabulous features, from the swooping button back design, to the cabriole legs on original metal castors.
With a lovely mahogany hooped backrest that curved down to form the side rails, holding the padded buttonback. With a very comfortable sprung seat, perfect for late night reading or writing in a bedroom or living room setting.
Leading down to 2 front cabriole legs with carved solid feet and 2 back outward curved solid square backlegs. All of the feet have the original metal rolling castors.
This chair has been previously upholstered in a crossed pink fabric and a brocade boarder.
There are obvious signs of rips and wear to the fabric seat, which would need reupholstering.

There is slight signs of woodworm to the back left leg that has been professionally treated by the previous owner.
