This is a beautiful oak carved hall chair with many period handcrafted features that would impress in a Victorian country home setting.
The backrest is constructed with a carved backsplat displaying a central circular design and two upper floral carvings.
The upper backrest rail has a central design and is finished with carvings.
The backsplat is held by two excellently carved side rails that are finished with upper finials.
The backrest connects to the solid square seat that could have a small cushion added for extra comfort.
Leading down this chair stands proudly on 4 solid carved legs, with an upper bulbous design, leading down to tapered carved feet.
There is a carved circular design to the front of the chair, between the legs.
Finished with backward splayed square legs for a solid structure. All of the legs have been finished with metal pads.
This is a gorgeous English victorian hall chair that is sure to provide a period charm to a hallway, kitchen or dining room setting.
Overall, this hall chair is in excellent antique condition with slight signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from an item with decades of historical age (see photographs).
