The hinged tabletop can be locked shut with the 2 keys provided.
Underneath the hinged tabletop opens a storage area with smaller compartments, and a deep octagonal central storage area, useful for storing game pieces or sewing utensils.
Standing proudly on a vase pedestal with tripod base, both are adorned with gorgeous carvings.

This Octagonal games table is in great antique condition, with general signs of use and scratches as to be expected from an item with years of age (see photographs).
There is an ink stain to the games tabletop (see photograph). The interior compartments have had glue repairs, with some of the slots historically missing (see photographs).
There is a historical crack to one of the lower legs, but this doesn't have any structural affect (see photograph).
There is a piece of wooden boarder missing to the lower finish (see photograph).
