This is a gorgeous classic one of a kind mahogany open Armchair, displaying excellent features from the Victorian period.
The backrest upper rail has a beautiful sunburst hancarved designs, with a carved floral additional finishing.
The striking buttoned backrest, paired with the sprung seat, provides generously comfortable seating.
The armchair features a handsome curved open armrest design, that is adorned with further carved swirling patterns.
Proudly stood on two front turned legs, and two square curved back legs. All of the legs are finished with rolling castors.
Upholstered in a diamond purple and cream fabric, finished with a cream brocade boarder.
This victorian armchair would be a statement piece in many period or country styled dining, living room or office settings.
Overall this armchair is in great condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear as to be expected.
There are two cracks to either of the armrests, but still make for a structrually strong armchair.
There is a sign of white filler to the right armrest (as photographed).
