This chair is fantastic with many beautiful antique qualities, from the slat back rest design, to the elegantly turned front legs.
The four slat backs are held between a figured backrest rail and a lower wooden rail.
Connected by the stunning side rails, that curve down to form the outward splayed back legs. The back legs join to the front legs with the back stretcher and the double side stretchers to form a solid structure.
Standing on two solid front turned legs, with circular feet, and a lovely front turned spindle, these features display the gorgeous mahogany patina to this chair. All the feet are finished with pads.
With a comfortable green horsehair padded fabric seat. The seat can come out of the seat frame for easy storage, and is held in place with a front dowel.
Overall this Chair is in excellent solid condition, with signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from an item with years of age and use.
The multicoloured fabric padded seat can be pulled out, and simply sits on top of the wooden bottom that has been screwed to the underside of the chair. There are holes to the top where the chair has previously been reupholstered.
