This beautiful print depicts a homeless young man who is possibly selling a raffle ticket, stooping sumbmissively before two sisters who listen with a mixture of fear and sympathy.

This charming print illustrated the rural ideal in England, evoking warm feelings of shared humanity.

To the top of the print reads 'London Published December 2nd 1914'.

The frame has been finished in a gorgeous gilt and hand painted light blue colour, with intricate carved floral detailing to the frame that reflects the Victorian period.

This is a large picture that is sure to make a statement in any period living or dining room settings, a must-have for art collectors who appreciate the Victorian era and its exquisite art.

Overall, this picture is in good antique condition, with obvious signs of cracking to the frame, veneer damage and wear, as to be expected.
