Standing on 4 solid turned legs, joined with connected that have been adorned with lovely oval carved designs to the lower connectors and to either side of the top connectors.
With an original makers mark metal badge to the underside of the tabletop reading 'Priary'.
Attributed to the Jacobean style furniture that was popular during the reign of King James I of England, the style is characterized by it's heavy and sturdy construction, designed to withstand years of wear and use.
Such a classic design with the turnable tabletop that enables the table top to be turned, to hold the drop leaves opened or closed, with a metal screw that can be used to tightened the tabletop.
A perfect fit for many small spaces, could be used as a dining table or side table, to hold mugs, pictures and other memorabilia.
Overall this drop leaf table is in great antique condition with minimal signs of use and wear, there is a slight crack down the centre of the tabletop (as photographed). There is also slight veneer damage, and a circular water damage to tabletop (as photographed).
