This is a stylish English Vintage Arts and Crafts mahogany open armchair. It is an original piece from the Edwardian period, Circa 1900.
With a backrest constructed from three square panel back slats, held by a gorgeous double arched upper backrest and a curved lower backrest.
The armchair features a fantastic curved open armrest design, with the floral upholstered webbed seat that is surrounded by a studded boarder, making for comfortable seating.
The backrest has two solid turned side rails that lead down to form the solid square back legs.
The armrests are supported by the front solid turned legs that have added charm and character to this chair. The front legs are finished with circular pad feet.
Connected with a double H-frame stretcher to either side and a stretcher to the back and front, creating a structurally solid frame.
Displaying a rich mahogany patina, giving it a classic look, this antique armchair is a beautiful addition to many living rooms, dining rooms, or bedrooms.
Overall, this lovely opem armchair is in great condition, with minimal signs of use and wear, as to be expected from years of age.
