This is a beautiful Vintage Writing Bureau Desk that is sure to make for a wonderful addition to a mid century living room or office home setting. Circa 1960s.
The front of the bureau displays a wonderful country Oak patination that warms the home interior.
The fall front to the bureau can be dropped, and is held open by the two smooth extending metal brackets.
The desk interior opens to a leather writing desk worktop. The interior has 6 smaller pigeon holes, and a small lower drawer. The front of the bureau has three large drawers, perfect for storing documents, papers, books, or memorabilia.
All of the drawers are finished with oak carved handles and key holes.
There is one key present that will lock the drop front and drawers for the desk, to keep your belongings safely stored.

Overall, this Writing Bureau is in great condition, with signs of general use and veneer wear and damage (see photographs), as to be expected from an item with years of age.
There are obvious signs of wear and marks to the leather top (see photographs).
Two of the front right wooden handles have been historically damaged, but are still fully functional (see photograph). There are historical signs of woodworm to the back feet, and underside, which has been fully treated by the previous owner (see photograph).
