These charming mid-century modern armchairs are original Greaves and Thomas "Put U Up" chairs from the 1960s. Known for their distinctive design.
They were part of a furniture range designed to be space-saving, fitting with smaller living spaces of the time. The chairs are considered rare and desirable by collectors of mid-century furniture.
Featuring a minimalistic curved backrest with a square plywood back splat design. The armrests bend at the elbows to form the back legs, such a timeless style.
The seats have a pebble shape.
Two of the chairs are upholstered in a mustard yellow and two are in a patterned design, with foam padded seats.
Stood proudly on two square curved front feet.
The chair has a warm teak patination finish that really adds character to the home.
Overall, this set of armchairs are in great condition, with obvious signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from vintage chairs with years of age (see photographs).
With a signs of holes to one of the cushion seats, and stains to the seat upholstery cushions (see photographs).
