This is a charming Hepplewhite Style Dining Chair, with excellent carvings, a truly historical chair that would compliment many period dining room decors.
Displaying an elegant shieldback design that hangs low, connected with an excellent carved splatback.
The chair has a comfortable square patterned green seat that has been upholstered in a wool fabric.
Standing proudly on two solid front carved legs. The backrest leads down to form the solid square back legs. The legs are all connected with a H-frame stretcher underneath.
This original chair is from Victorian era, and was originally part of a larger set, from the 'VII' carving to the back of the chair.
Overall, this dining chairs is in great antique condition, with signs of use and wear, as to be expected from chairs with years of age.
There is a slight historical crack to the front left leg and back of a frame, but this doesn't affect the functionality at all (see photographs).
