This is a beautiful 18th Century side table lowboy, that displays many timeless, quality features that is sure to add class and sophistication to a period home setting.
The tabletop is rectangular with a lower carved edged boarder. The rich Oak patination to the tabletop truly highlights the wonderful craftsmanship in the Georgian era.
To the front of the lowboy is a central drawer, flanked by two deep drawers, perfect for storing stationary, documents or books.
The drawers have been finished with the original brass hanging handles.
Stood proudly on four elegantly hand carved square legs. The legs have all been connected by solid lower H-frame stretcher.
This is a delightful lowboy side table that would complement many country or period homes in the kitchen, living room or dining room.
Overall, this side table is in great antique condition, with general signs of use, and veneer wear missing to the drawers, as to be expected from a Georgian period item (see photographs).
There is a split between the tabletop planks and a thin crack to the tabletop, but this has been historically glued repair (see photographs).
There are two cracks to the lower decorative wood, under the drawers, but this has no structural effect (see photograph).
