This George III period tilt top tripod table displays many rare features that are only found from centuries of old construction. Circa 1780.

With a large circular thick tabletop that displays a deep and rich mahogany patina. The tabletop uses the hinge and the latch mechanism to be tilted upright for easy storage.

With a beautiful birdcage to the table, with a central stem that runs through the middle of the table and it allows the top to rotate freely. A wooden disk can be pushed into the bird cage to prevent the wood from rotating.

Leading down to a lovely vase shaped pedestal, proudly stood on curved cabriole legs with handcarved pad shaped feet.

Such a fantastic historical antique with quality handcraftsmanship that would compliment many period living, dining rooms or kitchen settings.

A very solid construction, from heavy mahogany wood.

Overall, this Georgian tripod table is in great antique condition, such a solid period construction, minimal signs of use and wear, with slight marks to the tabletop, as to be expected from an item with historic age (as photographed).

The tabletop shows signs of historical cracking that has been previously glued to the underside, still a solid and fully functional antique.
