This a gorgeous Edwardian Writing desk with many fantastic period features such as the beautiful satinwood crossbanding.

Once the fall front is dropped it exposes the gorgeous gilt leather writing desk, with an embossed around the boarder.

The interior has 6 pigeon holes that all have a figured upper boarder. Inside there are two wide drawers with small metal circular handles, perfect for storing stationary, documents or books.

The fall front to the Writing Bureau has 2 metal hinges to either side, which pulls the square fabric topped supports out to hold the fall front and use it as a desk.

The fall front truly does display a gorgeous Mahogany patina, providing a wonderful contrast to the satinwood crossbanding.

The graduating front drawers are a fantastic feature all of them have a striking hanging pulls drawer handle design, great for providing a lot of room for storage.

Proudly stood on 4 solid square feet that are surrounded by a figured border.

This is a handsome Edwardian Writing Bureau that would compliment many period or country style living, dining room, or office settings.

Please note that there is no key present, and the locks have been historically made unusable.

The interior looks to be constructed from a lighter shade of wood, potentially oak.

Overall, this Edwardian Writing Bureau is in excellent antique condition, with signs of use to the leather desk, and veneer wear to the fall front (as photographed), as to be expected from an item with years of age.

There are a couple of woodworm holes to the interior backboard that have been professionally treated by the previous owner.

There is a long crack to the left side of the bureau, but it doesn't affect the functionality at all (as photographed).

The fall front doesn't perfectly shut, as the wood has warped due to years of historic age.

There is a small gap to the bottom drawer where the wood has shifted backwards as the nails are no longer holding it, still a fully functional drawer.
