This a gorgeous Edwardian Writing Bureau desk has elegant finish that that are sure to impress in a period living, dining or office décor.
The fall front displays a rich mahogany patination, with a beautiful inlaid boarder. The drop front can be opened, exposing the gorgeous brown leather writing desk.
The fall front to the Writing Bureau has 2 metal hinges to either side, which pulls the square wooden supports out from underneath when the desk is opened, holding the fall front and use it as a desk.
There is a key present, which can keep the interior drawers or drop front locked for safe keeping.
The interior has 6 pigeon holes perfect for storing stationary, documents or books. There is also a singular upper central drawers with a small circular handle finished with a small white dot.
The front has a smaller upper drawer, with two larger lower graduating drawers, all are finished with striking swan drop handles. These large drawers are great for storing linens, clothing or bedding.
Proudly stood on 4 curved solid ball and claw feet, a gorgeous feature.
This is a handsome Edwardian Writing Bureau that would be a statement piece in many period homes.
Overall, this Edwardian Writing Bureau is in great antique condition, with obvious signs of use, veneer wear to the wood, and markings to the leather (as photographed), as to be expected from an item with years of historical use.
There is veneer damage to the left side of the bureau (see photograph).
