This is a beautiful pair of Wheatsheaf Dining Chairs, that displays excellent craftsmanship only found from the Edwardian era.
With the 'Marsh, Jones, Cribbs & Co' makers marks to the underside of both of the chairs, showing they are both original.
The elegantly carved backrests have a wheatsheaf and floral backsplat design, with two figured side rails to either side.
The side rails lead down to form 2 square backward splayed back legs.
Both of these dining chair seats have been reupholstered in a Chenille cream floral patterned design horsehair stuffing that provides very comfortable seating.
Standing on two elegant square tapered front legs, finished with a square foot.
This striking English pair of Edwardian Dining Chairs adds a timeless finish that would compliment many period or manor decors in the dining room, living room, or hallway setting.
Overall, this pair of Edwardian Dining Chairs are in excellent condition, showing general signs of use and veneer wear to the frame, as to be expected from years of historical use.
There is a crack to one of the backrest rails that has been historically glued repair and a couple cracks to the backrest (doesn't effect functionality at all).
There are slight markings to the upholstered seating (see photographs).
