Edwardian Hoop Tub Armchair English Inlaid Carved Upholstered Postage Available
This is a beautiful Hoop tub back armchair with defining handcrafted Edwardian features, making for such a wonderful addition to many period styled home interiors.
This armchair features gorgeous handcrafted inlaid designs to the backrest, armrests, and to the front of the legs.
The hoop back makes for a very comfortable armrest, held by three intricate and fantastic hand crafted back splats, and two wooden square supports.
The splat backs have carved star designs, above two pillars, such a wonderful addition.
The elegantly curved front arms lead down to form the front two tapered solid square legs that are finished with additional square shaped feet. With complimenting outward curved splayed square back legs.
The chair has a charming floral chenille upholstered seat that is comfortable yet firm for sitting.
This delightful Edwardian Armchair would add a touch of 1910's era character to many living, dining rooms, or bedroom settings.
Overall, this Edwardian armchair is in great antique condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear as to be expected from a chair with years of age (see photographs).
There is a slight rip to the underside fabric, and one of the bracers has moved, but this doesn't affect the functionality at all.
There are visible signs of damage to the brocade boarder, exposing the nails to the seat (as photographed).
