This Edwardian Bedroom Side Chair has a plethora of beautiful features, and would be a statement piece in many country or period settings.
With a gorgeous figured splatback that is a true statement of the quality craftsmanship to that time period.
The splatback is supported by a curved upper and a lower rail, connected between two solid square side bars, to create a solid backrest.
The side rails lead down to form the square backward splayed feet, connected by a turned spindle to the back.
With two excellently turned front legs, connected by a front turned spindle, and a pair of two spindles to either of the sides, creating a very sturdy strong chair.
With a webbed seat that has been upholstered with a floral fabric in a multicoloured pattern, with a brocade boarder. The seat is permanently attached to the chair.
Overall, this Bedroom Side Chair is in good condition, with obvious signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from an item with historical age.
There are signs of markings to the upholstered seat (as photographed).
With a few signs of woodworm that have been professionally treated by the previous owner (see photographs).
