The backrest is made from a gorgeous inlaid motif backsplat design, which leads down to a beautiful lower curving hand crafted design.
The backsplat is held between an upper figured rail and a lower rail, supported either side by turned side rails.
The underside of the chair is carved with a '756' indicating the original makers mark, and a sign it was handcrafted furniture from the 1900s.
The seat has a wonderful floral needlepoint seat, a truly one of a kind crafted detailing.
Standing proudly on two front elegantly turned legs, finished with circular feet. The front legs are connected with a double turned stretcher to either side, connecting to the solid square outward splayed back legs.
The front and back legs are connected with a singular turned stretcher to create a solid frame.
The chair is complimented by the quality mahogany patina to the frame.

Overall, this side bedroom chair is in great antique condition, with signs of use and veneer wear to the frame, as to be expected from an item with years of age and use (as photographed).
There are historical signs of woodworm to the frame and a leg foot that has been fully and professionally treated by the previous owner (see photographs).
The frame is made from thin wood and is delicate due to this.
