This is a wonderful carved oak coffer / blanket box / storage chest / trunk, that would make for a stylish country addition to the home bedroom.
Made in a rectangular shape, it exudes a warm and traditional charm with the gorgeous oak patination.
The thick coffer lid can be opened fully, as it pivots on the metal hinges, revealing the large interior storage area, useful for storing clothes, blankets or other home items.
The front of the chest displays three carved panels, with intricate lower carving details to the overhanging lower boarder.
Stood on four lower plastic cap feet to finish.
This is a charming vintage oak coffer that is sure to add a touch of sophistication to the home.
Overall, this Vintage chest is in great condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear (as photographed), as to be expected from an item with years of age.
There is a minor crack to the top corner, and side of the chest (see photographs).
There are historical signs of woodworm to the front of the chest that have been fully treated by the previous owner (see photograph)
