This is a gorgeous 1910's bentwood elbow armchair that would make a wonderful addition to a cafe, bistro or home kitchen setting.
With the original 'Mundus J&J Kohn' stamp to the underside of the chair.
With a curved backrest rail that forms the sweeping armrests that are held by elegantly turned classic bentwood supports.
The backrest is supported by two square back connectors, that lead down to form the back legs.
Constructed with an excellent floral bentwood style plywood classic seat.
Standing proudly on two turned front legs that are connected by a lower curved circular support.
This fantastic Bentwood armchair would make for a perfect addition to many cafe or bistro settings, to add a touch or character and charm that is sure to grab the attention of the guests.
Overall, this armchairs is in great antique condition, with obvious signs of use and veneer wear as to be expected from years of age (see photographs).
There are historical screws, nails and glue repairs to the front and back of the legs, but they are structurally strong (see photographs).
