This is an exquisite bentwood armchair, displaying beautiful 19th century period, featuring a rich Elm & Pine patination, that truly would brighten a country or farmhouse home.
The backrest has turned spindles, and a charming curved hooped back rail to form the backrest. There are two extra spindles to the back, adding a stylish design.
Connecting to the back rail is the beautiful carved pine armrest design, that is supported by two turned front supports.
Leading down to a delightfully carved saddle seat that highlights the Elm wood these chairs were hand carved from. A lovely period feature for comfortable seating, or simply for a cushion.
Proudly stood on four outward splayed turned legs, connected by a lower H-frame stretcher, to provide solid structure and support for this wonderful armchair.
This Victorian armchair would add a touch of farmhouse warmth to a country or farmhouse living, dining rooms, kitchen, or hallway settings.
Overall, this Victorian armchairs is in excellent antique condition, with slight signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from years of age (see photographs).
