This wonderful 19th Century armchair would excentuate a living, or kitchen décor with many classic and timeless features.
Displaying a gorgeous Ash & Elm patination to the frame, that provides a warm country character to the home.
The backrest is constructed from 5 square slats, that are encompassed by a fantastic turned upper rail and a lower square rail.
With carved side rails that connected to the proud armrests, and lead down to form the square back legs.
The carved armrests have striking turned front supports, which lead down to form the turned front legs.
The chair has a comfortable, wide rush seat.
The legs are all connected with a gorgeous front turned spindle, a double turned spindle to either side, and a single spindle to the back.
This charming 1890's Country Armchairs is sure to impress in the home kitchen, bedroom, or living room setting.
Overall, this armchair is in great condition, with obvious signs of use and veneer wear, as to be expected from chairs with years of age (see photographs).
There is historical woodworm to the back left leg and front right foot, which has been fully treated by the previous owner (see photograph).
There is a sign of damage to the front right of the rush seat and wear, to be expected from an antique and still fully functional (see photographs).
